Model Cupcake

Let the Butter, Confectioner's Sugar and Vanilla Extract fly!  With ingredients strewn across my kitchen countertop and an apron tightly wrapped around my waist...the decorating would begin.   I had three Frostings to make with limited time.

I started on the one with which I was unfamiliar - the Cream Cheese Frosting for the Red Velvet cupcakes.  The ingredients included Marshmallow Fluff and Cream Cheese (obviously).  It tasted perfectly creamy without being too sweet.

Then I made my classic Vanilla Buttercream Frosting and Buttercream Fondant.  Both turned out Delish

The fun (and time-consuming part) - Decorating the Cupcakes!  Unfortunately, I was forced to do this in a smaller window of time than I'd like...but I'd get as creative as I could, quickly.  As is par for the course, Fondant Coloring Paste in varying hues stained my hands and fingernails - but left my Frostings looking great.

I experimented with new, large Decorating Tips and tried a few variations of Frosting Styles.  Some had Coconut adorning them while others had tiny fondant hearts resting atop their crests.

Considering the short time I had to do all of this - I actually got a lot done.  I could only imagine in a real Bakery setting, you'd need all hands on deck to accomplish this efficiently.  That...or limit the Cupcake Styles to just a few.

I looked across my Counter at this Field of Cupcake Dreams and smiled - as I envisioned them sitting inside a little Bakery.  A Bakery all my own.

Me
