In the midst of my Blueprint Buzz, I began to brainstorm about what names I would assign to my Guest Rooms. The Ballard Inn, the Inn I had visited, had a special name for each and every room. I loved the idea and wanted to do the same.
At first, a dear friend and I came up with a host of names associated with Baking - such as The Buttercream Room, The Red Velvet Room, etc... But that theme seemed too cutesy.
So instead I focused on my French Farmhouse Style for Inspiration - and focused in on France. I could title the Guest Rooms with different French sayings like Joie de Vivre or Salon Chic. Or perhaps I could choose French cities or Streets...or even Landmarks like the Louvre.
All of this talk about French - took on a life of its own. I've always been enamored with the language but studied Spanish instead. What kind of a fraud would I be if I inspired France in my Inn without speaking a single word???
So what else could I do but conspire with my friend to learn French together. And so within 24-hours, I purchased a Rosetta Stone 1-5 French Learning Set and committed to learning the language - complete with a partner to keep me on task.
Pourquoi pas? Why not?!

What would you called the honeymoon suite? Start there and work your way back. The more you personalize this inn the sooner it will become a reality. French countryside is nice.
