Bake Me a Cake as Fast as You Can

To say I was anxious to get cracking on my Laundry List was an understatement.  I have to tell you, that List is a powerful tool.  As I awakened for work today, I immediately thought "Ooooh, what can I accomplish today to get closer to my dream (which I can then write about in my Blog)?"  A task-oriented person by nature, the sheer anticipation of what I could check off my agenda put me in a great mood.

The daily grind was now just another step toward my future as an entrepreneur.  Granted, it's fruition is far enough away to be a major challenge.. yet somehow it feels very much within reach.  The daily stresses of work and the mundane frustrations that would otherwise weigh me down are suddenly mere blips on the screen.  Buoyed by the new thoughts that inspire me, instead work became a brief, albeit necessary, interruption in what I like to call the Blueprinting of my Dream.  As it's chief architect, my "day job" literally bought me time to achieve my ultimate goal.  Not to mention, having a blissful diversion to occupy my mind - was truly a saving grace.  I was happier overall...and that was a very good thing.

Today's mission was to check-in with a Bakery Owner I know.  My hope was to extract as much information as possible in order to get a realistic handle on what my dream entailed.  He happily offered to help me as much as he could and invited me to see the inner-workings of the Bakery anytime.  Perfect!  I needed a taste of what the business is like day to day.

I didn't get to speak with him in detail today as I'd planned, which made me feel rather unproductive.  But at least I'm one day closer to tomorrow, which is one day closer to my dream.
