Soul Food

Familiarity can be such a comfort at times.  Knowing you're safe somewhere or with someone....well, it's just nice I suppose.

No matter the lapse in time, the subconscious remembers things we might otherwise forget.  That sense of peace that makes being yourself so easy.  A trust that lets you say anything.

It's Food for the Soul...like a hot, yummy breakfast on a cold winter's morning; a sweet snuggle beneath a big, fluffy blanket; a warm hug after a long, hard day.

It seems as though people and things sift in and out of our lives so frequently these days.  So when something lasts, I truly appreciate it.  It matters to me...

...because the good things in life are not disposable.  I value those most.

Who knows why some things stick and some things don't, but perhaps it's not to be questioned.  Just be grateful for the warmth that they bring.

Sweet Dreams,
Me
